Come to the Free Skate on Remembrance Day

Come to the annual Optimist Free Skate on November 11. The event will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the Poirier Sports & Leisure Complex, 633 Poirier Street, Coquitlam, BC. Admission and skate rentals are free, but participants are encouraged to donate a non-perishable item for the Food Bank. The event is one way the Coquitlam Optimist Club recognizes the good things that the young people of our community do.
We sponsor
· Walk for Youth (to raise funds for youth groups)
· Junior Curling
· Opti Bears (Teddy bears for children in crisis)
· Youth Appreciation Free Skate
· Scholarships
· Essay and Oratorical Contests
We try to live by the Optimist Creed:
Promise yourself -
To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind
To talk health, happiness and prosperity to every person you meet
